Russian Red Cross (RRC), the oldest humanitarian organization in Russia, calls on everyone whose loved ones were injured, died or went missing as a result of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, if they need help, contact the organization and receive necessary help and support.
Russian Red Cross continues to collect applications from victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, their loved ones and families of the victims. At the moment, according to the decision of the Special Commission, 65 families will be provided with urgent financial assistance.
These are mainly families with children whose relatives are in serious conditions or died, pensioners who were supported by injured or dead in the accident children, families in difficult financial situations due to debt obligations or who have incurred additional expenses on their own.
An application for targeted assistance can be submitted through the RRC form, by email help@redcross.ru, or by the hotline: 8 (800) 234-07-07.
Applications are also accepted through the RRC bot, available on the main page of the organization’s website.
“In just over a week since the tragedy, through the efforts of concerned citizens and business representatives, we managed to collect over 1.5 billion RUB. A special commission has already decided to provide urgent assistance to 65 families whose loved ones were dead, injured or are missing as a result of the terrorist attack. We will continue this work and encourage everyone affected by this tragedy to contact us if they need help. All applications will be carefully considered by the Special Commission based on the principles of humanism,” noted Pavel Savchuk, President of Russian Red Cross.
In addition, specialists and volunteers of Russian Red Cross continue to provide psychological assistance to all those in need, including those affected by the tragedy, their family members and relatives of the missing people. Since the tragedy, the RRC hotline has received 1,764 calls, and 46 people have left requests for individual psychological support.
“We don’t have the goal to spend all the money in the first month or six months. Many of the real victims and families of those dead will need support for several years. The key to the success of this support is the effective use of collected funds and flexibility in making decisions based on life situations. Now we are developing this long-term assistance program, taking into account the data we have, and at the same time helping victims who turn to us for urgent help, which is needed here and now,” added Pavel Savchuk.
Russian Red Cross, among other things, will help victims, relatives of victims and the deadwith rehabilitation after treatment, sanatorium treatment, regular financial assistance to children who lost their parents in the tragedy, drug provision on an outpatient basis, provide them with psychological assistance, including in the long term, to meet their individual needs.
A report on the expenditure of funds will be posted publicly every two months on the website of Russian Red Cross.
