The Russian Red Cross is the country’s oldest charity organisation in Russia. We are making plans for the future by preserving the valuable experiences of our predecessors, bringing in new ones and reaffirming our commitment to the mission, namely preventing and alleviating human suffering.
During 155 years the Russian Red Cross has preserved and multiplied its traditions, rooted in ideals of mercy and humanism. Today, we continuously train first aid skills and form emergency response teams, implement social and humanitarian programs, help in restoring family links separated by armed conflicts, natural disasters and other emergencies. The Society is realizing a campaign to promote blood and bone marrow donation.
The Russian Red Cross staff and volunteers are always among the first to give a helping hand, regardless how difficult and dangerous the circumstances might be.
A lot depends on their selfless efforts and humanity – people’s lives, health and well-being. All the achievements of our organization are the result of the experience and professional competence of each and every volunteer and staff member.
